Searching for Strickland Ancestors is and has been a unique experience for me. The journey, at times, has been and is difficult, but, at other times, gives me a true sense of satisfaction when I find accurate information that documents my ancestors' lives. My Strickland line has been documented with DNA from a "family member" donor that traces back to Matthew Strickland of Isle of Wight, Virginia. The family of Matthew Strickland of IOW grew and spread out over North and South Carolina and down into the southern part of the U.S., Southeast Georgia. Without the sharing of documents from other Strickland researchers, my search for my ancestors would not have reached as far as it has. I owe these researchers my sincere gratitude.
